My favorite thing in an Easter basket is the chocolate!!

Easter means not that much to me.

The best part of the chocolate Easter bunny is (I have to choose a part?? It’s all chocolate, it all rocks!)

My memories of Easter as a child include easter egg hunting with my dad at Centennial Park.

Purple jelly beans are the ones I eat first.

I like NO grass in my Easter basket, leaves more room for chocolate!

On Easter, I will be at my Sister’s with my father and brother having dinner.

Plans? Not I..Oh Wait…

I was going to do a video post tonight but figured I will save it for the weekend. About what? Dunno…but I am sure I will think of something, I am a chatterbox.

I now have a 3 day weekend in front of me…what am I going to do? Dunno. I’m a boring kind of person, but as my home economics teacher told me back in grade 12…life is what you make it. So obviously I don’t mind boring too much :)

There is a big festival going on at a nearby park which I’m going to attend, probably tomorrow or Sunday - I love these kind of jasminlive events, as I love the vendors. I AM also going to go for a walk, if not two. Also planned, going to Home Depot to pick up my paint to touch up my bedroom and I need a new iron - one that doesn’t leak all over my freshly ironed clothes. Sure it works…it gets the wrinkles out, just leaves my clothes wet :P

I guess I do have plans after all!

I Must Be Doing Something Right!

I’m not sure if you read In A Mood so I wanted to share my cool news here as well. I got a raise! July is the month that raises get handed out yearly and being as I have only been there since Feb 5th of this year I wasn’t expecting one. But my boss walked into my office, handed me an envelope with my raise details. I got ‘more than normal’ but it was felt I deserved it. Normal is cost of living.

So far this year I have managed to increase my income $13,500 (that does NOT include paid posts, lol) and I’m astounded at the generousity of my company. I would have been happy with no raise, I’ve only been there for 5 months! Also, I get to participate in profit sharing which I heard is “wonderful” so says my counterpart. That gets paid out in Dec and Jan…I’m looking forward to that - in fact I should be moved by then and may hold off on my vacation until then, go someplace different, like England, Australia or Fiji :)

So So

Today was a so-so day in my world. I felt so so fat, was in a so so mood and my day went by so so fast. The only real good thing about the day is that it brought me closer to the long weekend (Monday is Canada Day). I have felt out of sorts the last couple of days, lost body wise. I’m pretty sure I am bloated and too terrified to get on the scale lest it really make my so so day a bad day, lol.

It has been too hot to do any exercise as we have been experiencing a heat wave. The heat wave is over tomorrow which is baseball night. I’m tempted to cry off but for no real particular reason except I’m feeling exceptionally lazy this week. All I want to do is laze on the couch spend time on www.chaturbaterooms.com and yawn my fool head off…which yes I am doing now. But I won’t skip baseball…it could be my only exercise this week…because I suck.

Group Vacations?

Well it appears that come October when I plan to go on vacation to the Dominican, that the resort I usually go to may be closed. Kind of sad really because I really like the place. I’ve often wondered if I should sign up for one of those vacation clubs, something like leisuretime promotions wherein I have points/units to use per year all over the world. That would really get me travelling the world.

The top places on my list to travel to before I did is Australia, Fiji and England. I’ve often thought of doing those group tour vacations as well to visit places I wouldn’t go by myself. Now, I just need to win the lottery so I can do all this travel I want to do :) Anyone do a group tour before? How was your experience?

Squeeky Takes A Shower

I had an incident this morning (you can read it over at IAM), that makes me wonder why ‘adult’ shampoo cannot have the ‘no more tears’ effect that shampoo has. My eyes have been sore all day, though they do feel ‘Squeeky’ clean :P

Speaking of shampoo, when I worked at Shoppers I was floored by how big the section is, specifically Johnson & Johnson products. All I remember from when my sister and brother were babies, there was one product…the yellow shampoo. Now you got the shampoo and body wash, and you can have those in one product! Of course you can also have the body wash come in ‘bedtime ’ or ’soothing vapor’. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised…us adults can lather up with caffeine.

Where the Heck Did That Snow Come From?

Today I circumnavigated jelly beans, McDonald fries and the refilled basket of chocolate eggs in my condo’s foyer. I did good! I will admit though, that I almost caved and ate 1 (yes 1) jelly bean but talked myself out of it. One just does not eat 1 jelly bean, 1 would lead to more. I have been on plan, ‘cheat free’ for 10 days - 100%.

I’m currently lying on the couch with the laptop in my lap and watching Stargate (the movie), it’s pretty good, I watch the tv show ever day on Space. Also, I’m frickin’ cold - my electric throw just cannot seem to warm me up. The weather changed for the worse today and we got snow and I haven’t been able to shake the chills since when I first stepped outside this morning. We went from Spring to Winter overnight - including lots of snow squalls and wind.

As noted, food was good today and I worked out for the 3rd and final workout of the week. I did 60min! I definitely wasn’t planning on doing more than my 50min but time got away with me as I was watching Rocky Horror Picture Show and some old jasminelive shows on the tv. More is better, it just shocked me is all.

I picked up more groceries tonight - I’ve been loving peameal bacon lately so picked up more. Found some with fewer carbs and lesser calories too and it was yummy (it was what I had for dinner along with 1 fried egg). I didn’t eat until almost 9pm though but I had to eat I had been hungry since 7pm. I also picked up some stuffed chicken (mushroom and provelone), only 3 carbs!

My water is still going great - I MAKE myself get in 8 cups of actual water - but I do take in other liquids, like right now I have my last bottle of water in front of me as well s Dr. Pepper Diet Berries & Cream - which I will add, I like (first try was tonight).

Goal tomorrow? Wake up with no alarm, stay away from the fridge, drink my water and work on my second assignment for TX1. G’night!

Day 9, Hump Day

Today was a great day all around. I still felt quite foggy from yesterday’s headache but work kept me busy enough that once I got there, I didn’t think about my head much all day. One of my fellow co-workers (on the ‘Bean Team’) was off sick so I had to tackle her duties for the first time ever. I have been training for this, so it was pretty simple. Monday though, may be different as I have to tackle payroll - sure hope I don’t mess up that, else I will have over 100 angry people on my hands :)

Remember the muffins? I was thinking today that I am going to take my muffin and freeze ‘em for consumption in Jun/Jul when hopefully I am at 139lbs (enjoying my 8/9 spring/summer clothes I might add) and can enjoy them. Good idea or bad? What do you think?

It seems to be all about food at our office. I mean, another person is doing the MS Walk and if you gave her a sponsorship, she was going to give you a pie (or a peice of one, cannot remember, lol). I, obviously turned down the pie, lol - but of course still sponsored her.

Oh and the muffins…same coworker also does Chili Wednesday’s - a full lunch (chili, bun and dessert) for a small fee which will be used to go towards his wife’s Breast Cancer Walk pledges. I am surrounded by food folks! And um, I LOVE chili. I have bypassed three of these Wednesdays :)

So food was good, actually made peameal bacon and an egg for breaky this morning and bagged it so I could eat it in the car - yes I used my fingers, I have no class :P Lunch was a chicken breast with asparagus tips. Dinner = breaky (again). Water, 8 cups. Workout - 55min (yes, 55!) on the ellipitcal. I finished watch the Abyss (seen it before but forgot to bring some movies to pop into the DVD player in the gym so had to go with titles already there). I felt good - even did my 3 reps of leg extensionis at 10 something or other. I am thinking 100lbs - I have strong legs.

Well that is about it. I am feeling wonderful folks. Each day brings me closer to my goal (again) and it makes it easier to navigate muffins and chili.

Speaking of food, I’m heading to my sister’s on Sunday for Easter dinner, bringing my own green veggie, just in case as per my father’s suggestion (smart man). Meat…no issue - hopefully it is turkey, ham is more salty/fatty than I really want to eat.

And no change on my scale this morning, I shrugged it off knowing the scale must fall into line at some time.
